Born in 1984, Federico Galieni attended the State Conservatory of Music in perugia “F. Morlacchi” , up to the middle school exam.
he He continued his musical studies privately under the guidance of Prof. Paola Besutti (teacher at the Musical Institute “O. Vecchi” in Modena) and obtained a diploma in violin (as a private practitioner) at the Conservatory Stat. of Music “G.B.Martini” of Bologna in September 2003.
Awards achieved:
2003: 1st prize at the “Nuovi Orizzonti” competition in Arezzo.
2006: 2nd prize at the “Dino Caravita” competition in Fusignano (RA)
2006: 2nd prize at the “Riviera Etrusca” review in Piombino (Livorno) and 3rd prize at the “Mastrandrea” competition in Piombino (Livorno).
2009: winner of the “Vincenzo Boccabianca” competition of Cupra Marittima (Ascoli Piceno).
2012: 3rd prize in the “Città di Riccione” competition – Riccione (RI)
2012: 1st absolute prize at the “Val di Sole” competition in Dimaro (TN).
2013: 2nd prize in the competition “City of Piove di Sacco” – Piove di Sacco (PD).
2013: 3rd prize in the “L. Zanuccoli” competition – Sogliano al Rubicone (FC).
From 2005 to 2008 he was a full member of the “Luigi Cherubini” Youth Orchestra (conducted by M ° Riccardo Muti ) and collaborated with various orchestras including the Abruzzese Symphony Orchestra, the Marchigiana Philharmonic Orchestra, the Open City Orchestra, the Orchestra of the Olympic Theater of Vicenza, the Orchestra of the Regio Theater of Parma, the Orchestra of the Opera of Parma, the Orchestra of the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino and the Symphonic Orchestra of Pescara in whose formation he played as first violin in the years 2008, 2009 and 2010.
He is currently a full member of the Imola Chamber Orchestra.
In 2005 he was a finalist in the EUYO selection in Rome.
In 2006 he attended a masterclass held by Pierre Amoyal in Portogruaro (Venice).
In 2008 he attended the annual specialization course with Ilya Grubert at the Music Academy Pescarese.
In 2009 he attended a masterclass held by Sergeji Krylov at the Pescara Music Academy.
After studying for a year in Zurich at the “Zuercher Hochschule der Kuenste” (University of Zurich) with Rudolf Koelman, he is currently a student of M ° Oleksandr Semchuk at the “Incontri col Maestro” Academy of Imola, where he also attended masterclasses by Boris Belkin and Pierre Amoyal.
