Shipment Musical Instrument

Before shipping, make a request for intervention by shipping. Rely on us for the choice of courier, we will send it directly to your home. There is the possibility of insuring your instrument, if of value through our prior appraisal so that there is no risk of loss by the insured in the event of accidental damage during transport.

SHIPPING ELECTRIC GUITAR, VIOLIN, VIOLET, MANDOLIN, UKULELE, BOW
from 0 to 5 kg, you will spend around € 15.00 – € 18.00 for a trip
from 5 to 10 kg, you will spend € 20.00 – € 25.00 for one trip
To save the maximum side (ie the length) must be 1 meter maximum. Electric or classical guitars shipped with a hard case reach little more than this limit with the case.

ELECTRIC LOW SHIPPING
Cost of shipping around € 20.00 – € 28.00 per trip up to 20 kg, since the instrument is over 1 1/2 meters in length or has a certain weight.

CELLO SHIPPING
Shipping a cello has a fairly high cost, around 50.00 – 60.00 euros. Shipping by the private individual is very complicated, as a hard case and a certain type of packaging are required. On the part of the lutherie, on the other hand, it is simpler, having the correct packaging to be able to ship even without a hard case.

SHIPPING METHODS

Before shipping, make a request for intervention by shipping. If possible, ship in a hard case.
In the case of a string instrument, loosen the tension of the strings. This is to avoid the risk of the bridge hitting the soundboard with all the thrust of the strings. However, the strings must be kept at a low tension to prevent the core from falling inside.
In the case of an acoustic instrument, subjected to more deformations of the wood given by the climate, it is advisable to use polystyrene at least 5-6 cm thick. This provides better thermal insulation.
Do not ship valuable acoustic instruments in hot weather.
Use a fast shipping system (it is better not to travel the package for more than 3 days).
In the case of an instrument with an active circuit, remove the batteries.
It is possible to ship the various accessories that you want to assemble together with the instrument (eg strings, pickups, mechanics, spare frets, etc …).
In the case of stringed instruments, the soul can fall out.

SHIPPING BY LIUTERIA CESARINI

The packaging made in our laboratory is designed so that the product inside is not stressed or tampered with during shipment. For this reason, systems are used that allow to keep the strings mounted, so that, in the case of bow or plucked instruments, the soul or the bridge cannot fall. We ship only with hard or semi-hard case, which must be considered in the purchase (our new instruments include it, not always used ones). In the case of accessories, dedicated packaging is created based on the shape. For all other cases (instrument without case, particularly fragile or valuable goods) we recommend collection by hand at the store. Electric tools or accessories are not supplied with batteries.

Courier and delivery

The cost of delivery depends on the type of service (fast or standard) and the weight of the goods. The couriers used are UPS, DHL, SDA for packages over 3kg, while SDA, POSTE ITALIANE, NEXIVE for packages below 1kg. These carriers have been tested over the course of several years and are considered the most reliable for shipping musical instruments. You can choose to have parcel insurance at an additional cost. In the event of evident damage to the package or the goods, a refund can be made through the courier, but first of all, you must ACCEPT the package upon delivery WITH RESERVE. We recommend taking photos of the package at the time of delivery, together with the courier. Liuteria Cesarini takes the photo of the packaging before shipment, so it will be possible to compare the state before shipment and the one after delivery.

Order cancellation
From the moment the order is placed, this is binding, it can only be canceled if it has not yet been shipped. For orders already processed, the customer can exercise the right of withdrawal.
