WARRANTY CONDITIONS, ATELIER CESARINI and CESARINI CUSTOM SHOP

All the products that can be purchased from Liuteria Cesarini (Atelier Cesarini and Custom Shop) are new musical instruments, with the exception of the items in the “Cesarini Collection” and therefore enjoy a guarantee in accordance with Italian law pursuant to Legislative Decree. 02.02.2002 No. 24 which implemented Directive 1999/44 / EC on consumer goods guarantees in Italy.

By “warranty” we mean the free repair or replacement of components or parts of the instrument recognized as faulty in manufacturing or material. This warranty does not cover accidental damage or damage resulting from loss, failure to use the product, damage caused by loss of information, stored by the customer in any form, damage from tuning outside our laboratory or authorized centers. Furthermore, no liability is accepted for any damage that may, directly or indirectly, derive to people, things, animals, climatic conditions of maintenance other than the prescriptions indicated in the appropriate certifications.

The warranty is recognized to those buyers who will present the purchase invoice together with the product for which repair is being requested. For consumers, i.e. those who purchase for purposes unrelated to their professional or business activity, Legislative Decree 2 February 2002, n.24 will apply. – Articles 1519-bis and following of the Italian Civil Code – (two years under legal conditions); For other buyers, who usually purchase with a VAT number, the legal guarantees referred to in articles 1490 and following of the Italian Civil Code will apply. (one year under legal conditions). In any case, any warranty extensions issued directly by the manufacturer remain unaffected. Lutherie services, such as restorations and adjustments, are not under warranty.

WARRANTY TERMS

The warranty is valid for the period indicated, starting from the invoice date, on all parts of the item not subject to wear or periodic maintenance, for malfunctions due to construction defects.

The warranty does not apply to damage caused by neglect, incorrect use and installation or misuse, abuse, deterioration, lightning, atmospheric phenomena, adverse weather conditions *, nor to damage caused by incorrect use. Recommended climatic conditions for maintenance:

Ambient temperature: 18 ° – 25 °
Ambient humidity: 50% – 70%

If, during the warranty period, one or more parts are replaced with part or more parts that are not authorized by the relative manufacturer, or do not comply with the safety and quality measures appropriate for the same, or if the repair is carried out by unauthorized personnel by Liuteria Cesarini, the buyer loses the right to repair under warranty.

Consumables considered to be subject to normal wear, tear or demagnetization (in the case of pickups) are excluded from this guarantee, such as: bow hair, string instrument bridge, string instrument core, pegs (pegs) of the string instrument. bow, strings, bandage of the bow, wooden plugs of the bow crack, tuning machines, adjustment truss rod (of which the relative adjustment socket is delivered together with the instrument at the time of sale), output jack 1/4 “signal output, paint and chrome of all instruments and parts, nickel frets of guitar and bass keyboards, pickup output cable, correct pickups magnetization.

By “bow” or “bowed instrument” we mean: violins – violas – cellos – double basses.
By “bow” we mean all the bows of: violin – viola – cello – double bass.

PARTS THAT REQUIRE PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND METHOD OF USE

Bow instruments and bows:

  • Tuners of the tailpiece of a bowed instrument ( lubrication every 2 months, with svitol – wd 40 or similar). How to use: Never keep the fine tuners too tight, ie at the end of their stroke (clockwise). Unscrew (counter clockwise) if the fine tuner is too tight and hard, then tune again with the wooden peg.
  • Check the condition of the nylon string of the tailpiece every 6-12 months , in case it is slightly sore.
