Visiting a violin making workshop? With us it is possible.
Imagine being able to see an Atelier full of objects, smells and people that recall an ancient Italian artisan tradition, which is the luthier one.
Atelier Cesarini’s workshop is presented through the figure of the owner Mastro-Luthier Federico Cesarini, open to private groups of 4 – 40 people maximum by reservation. The address is Via Filippo Gualterio 24 e, Perugia.
You will discover up close, almost unchanged, the secrets and techniques adopted since 1600 by interpreters such as Stradivari, Guarneri, Amati. M ° Federico Cesarini will make a historical parenthesis around these great interpreters of violin making, recalling their ancient methods by comparing them to contemporary methods. The essence of Val di Fiemme spruce wood mixed with the smells of natural shellac paints will be the setting. In addition to having a seminar on the method of construction of violins, cellos and guitars, you can therefore touch semi-finished products and raw materials.
The private groups we host are always enthusiastic about this cultural experience, which we recommend to all ages. The experience can last from 1 to 3 hours.
